ABOUT JEFFJEFF DERSHIN signed his first recording contract with Mercury Records at the age of 18. Educated at SUNY Binghamton, Juilliard and West Chester University, Jeff has spent 3 decades as an entertainer and teacher.He has toured Europe as keyboardist with the seminal rock/fusion band "Sweet Smoke," accompanied Pat Benatar and Patty Smyth, served on the faculties of public and private schools, directed musical plays both in schools and off- Broadway, and has written original music (traditional and electronic) for theatre dance and film. A member of the Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, Jeff was also for 20 years a member of the American Federation of Musicians. He has played at countless social functions, performed with the Bucks County Symphony, hosted "Brown-Bag It with the Arts," the weekly summer arts series broadcast on Suburban CATV (now Comcast), been an "Artist-In-Residence" in the local school system and has, in his community, served as an ambassador of the arts at numerous "Career Days." Jeff Dershin is currently performing both as a keyboard soloist and band-leader in and around the Philadelphia metropolitan area, while keeping up with a busy teaching schedule at his studio in beautiful Bucks County.
